Founded in 1998 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, AROBS Transilvania Software is an IT company with over 400 specialists, focused on delivering top quality embedded, mobile, cloud, and Web application development services. The company can be regarded as a one-stop shop, where one can find the full spectrum of the latest technologies and custom software development and testing services.

Over 17 years of experience in software projects requiring the use of the latest tools and technologies, complex and challenging endeavors in a multitude of industries and areas of application, well established and seamless processes and procedures, expertise demonstrated by individual and company level certifications, flexibility in adopting processes and tools recommended by our customers, low turnover for key specialists, a bench with available engineers that makes rapid ramp-up or starting a new project achievable, and the guarantee of an excellent value for your money is what you would get from a partnership with AROBS.

Our developers can help you throughout the product development life-cycle of your software, from design to programming and testing. Application programming and design for hotel booking, workforce management, eCommerce solutions, clinical trial management, location based services, home automation, or automated fare collection systems are only a few areas for which you can find highly qualified specialists and well-oiled processes at AROBS.

As a software house, AROBS addresses the IT needs of industries as diverse as travel, automotive, financial, pharmaceutical, automation, and retail with mobile, Web, cloud, and embedded applications, fully featured IT systems, and IT products.

Our customer base has also expanded greatly since 1998 to over 1500 Romanian clients and many prestigious foreign customers from Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, the Netherlands, UK, and the USA.

In March 2006, AROBS entered the GPS navigation market by becoming a distributor of the following brands: Mio, E-TEN, Qtek, MyGuideGPS, NavRoad, compatible with iGO and Destinator routed maps. In 2011 we added Becker to the list. In 2014 we distribute along with our own brad, Smailo, only Mio and Becker GPS devices.

AROBS became ISO certified for “Software development for local and international markets” in December 2006.

Using the experience acquired while working with international companies, AROBS started developing software solutions for the Romanian market, which include a sales force automation system (SFA) on PALM and PDA (Optimall by AROBS), GPS/GPRS (TrackGPS) fleet tracking/monitoring systems, tourism applications (ATOS/ABOS), etc.

Of these, TrackGPS has proven the most lucrative, as it tapped into a booming market, which continues to grow at a fast pace. Since December 2014, over 1,000 trucks owned by the local leader of the food distribution and freight transport market are monitored with TrackGPS. Our Asian adventure has just begun!

Faithful to its innovative spirit, AROBS launched Smailo, the first Romanian navigation system, which includes maps from all over Europe, in April 2008.

At present, AROBS Transilvania Software is one of best known IT companies in Romania. AROBS has consolidated its financial position in the Romanian IT&C market by selling 10% of its shares to the Finnish Investment Fond, Berling Capital, which has important investments in the hospitality, travel, financial, and software industries.

Along with excellent programming skills, the AROBS team members also exhibit excellent linguistic abilities, all of them being fluent in at least one of the following languages: English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Hungarian, and Romanian. Specialists with MBA degrees from the USA and Germany have joined AROBS over time, and so have people from other European countries, such as Ireland or Greece.

To meet the growing demand from the local market, AROBS has opened an operational office in Bucharest and home offices in Iasi, Suceava, Targu Mures, and international offices in Chisinau, and Budapest.
