AROBS Saw a 16% Increase in Revenues in Q1 of 2012, to Over 4 Million EUR

AROBS, a Cluj-based software solutions provider, reported a turnover of 4.4 million EUR for the first half of the current year, which is 16% higher than the one for Q1 of 2011. The company expects a total turnover of over 9 million EUR for the entire year, which would be about 15% above the one from last year.

"The constant need faced by Romanian companies to increase efficiency and reduce costs over the past 3 years, to comply with a series of international standards, and AROBS' desire to quickly build market share resulted in a continuous investment in software and IT tools expected to help us meet all these goals" said Mr. Voicu Oprean, CEO.

TrackGPS, AROBS' fleet monitoring solution, recorded a marked increased in customers, reaching 1200.

In the first quarter of 2012 AROBS saw an increase in popularity for OptimallSFA, its sales automation solution, after launching a optimized version for tablets and smartphones running on the Android platform. There was an increase in sales volume for the company's GPS navigation systems , but a decrease in the average transaction value, which can be explained by a tightening competition and an increased price sensitivity of the market.

Company officials stated that the TraficOK project, which is being developed together with a Belgian partner, is the next solution scheduled for release by AROBS.  TrafficOK will provide users of GPS navigation systems and smartphones with GPS access to real-time traffic information (traffic jams, accidents, roads under construction, speed cameras, etc.).

In May 2012 AROBS opened a research&development center in Iasi, where 40-50 people should be hired by the end of the year. The company now has 303 employees, of whom 79 were hired in 2012.

AROBS Transilvania Software opened new offices abroad last year, in Budapest and Chisinau.  The company is also being represented by dealers in Poland.  The company has 4 offices in Cluj Napoca and operational regional offices in Bucharest and Iasi.
