Cooperation Opportunities between British and Romanian ICT Companies

Opportunities may come from where you expect the less, but we are constantly searching for opportunities and never wait for them to arise.

This is the reason why AROBS didn’t wait for too long and initiated such an opportunity, a business event in London, on February, 9. The event, initiated by AROBS, was organized by the Embassy of Romania in the UK in partnership with Westminster Business Council.

Westminster Business Council is London’s premier business connections agency. They help businesses grow across the Capital by providing effective business intelligence and contacts. WBC has developed strong and extensive networks, being in touch regularly with around 12,000 enterprises. Service delivery includes regular events which allow businesses to network, meet buyers, and be introduced to partner organisations that can provide information and services which support business growth.

#Brexit challenges come with opportunities

The mission agenda included meetings with businessmen from London area.

Our objectives for the meetings were to take the pulse of the London market in the #Brexit context, and to identify partners for AROBS' software services solutions that can add value to their businesses.

It came as a shock for everybody when #Brexit was announced, but after the waters calmed down, businessmen started to look up for opportunities.

According to Lucian Ciot, AROBS' Delivery Manager for the Travel and Life Sciences & IoT sectors, "the meeting from London was intended to identify cooperation opportunities between states, and helped the company identify solutions that might be worth to focus on in the future".

“We notice within the Romanian Embassy in UK, a large opening for promoting services Romania can offer, especially AROBS, vs. a promoting of consumer goods (ex. Deliverable materials and products, agricultural products etc.). Promoting and selling services is of a more value now and from this point of view we position ourselves among the main important IT Romanian companies”, considers Lucian Ciot, Delivery Manager at AROBS, Travel, Life Sciences & IoT Department.

If UK exits the common market, it will have to negotiate with every state concerning bilateral agreements. We will analyze and identify, from the services selling perspective, the most optimal collaboration methods.

Partnerships between UK companies and AROBS

If we think what is the trump of the partnerships between UK companies and AROBS and implicitly with other Romanian companies, we take into account a consistent pool of resources which can deliver quality on expertise domains very well defined.

In what concerns AROBS, we discuss of expertise on the following niches: Travel, Automotive, Life Sciences & IoT, Products & Enterprise and Applications. Only in the end, we talk about the competitive price.

It was an experience from which everyone learnt something and it was definitely valuable for AROBS’ perspectives.

We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Manuel Donescu, Minister Counsellor, from the Embassy of Romania in the UK, for his involvement in the event and the ongoing support he provided to all the delegates.
