    From 4 ISTQB certificates achieved in June, ARoBS has now arrived to a number of 15 ISTQB certified QA specialists, who will prove their knowledge and talent in the new partnership with SQS, the biggest quality assurance and testing provider in the world.
For the realization of it solution with sustainable value, Arobs Transilvania provides the following types of testing services:

 1.Black-box/Functional Testing
  
 It is the functional testing of the program, with no access to the source code. The verifications are based on detailed test cases.

Purpose:   

->Eliminating the functionality bugs.  
->Improving the interface.  
->Improving the performance.  
->Improving the usability.  

  2. Unit Testing
  
Offers the possibility of testing the class/method modules, with access to the source code.
The variables and the results of the method executions can be tracked in the most sensible areas of the applications (used more frequently, for example the proprietary frameworks). The preferred tool is CxxTest.

 Benefits:  
 
-->eliminating the code bugs - infinite loops, incorrect initialization of variables, incorrect inheritance, inaccurate executions at marginal cases, etc.

-->the stability of the basic modules of the application.

    3. Automated Testing
  
For web based application we are using free tools similar to TestComplete like:

         - Ruby language and its dedicated framework for web based applications: Watir - which behaves like the testers: press links, buttons and fills in forms. The frameworks allow comparing the actual results of the tests against the expected results.

           - Selenium Core - Selenium tests can be written in Java accommodating a seamless integration with JUnit, hence the execution of these can be integrated in the continuous build and integration process.

 A specific framework of the application can be created to facilitate the maintenance of the scripts.

The following automated testing types are possible:

                a) GUI test
                b) smoke test
                c) Functional test
Benefits:
-->It eliminates a lot of time spent on manual work and increases the accuracy of test results

  4. eLoad/performance testing
   We are using JMetter and Empirix.

 Benefits:

-->a user can generate realistic heavy loads simulating the activity of hundreds to thousands of virtual users

-->graphs both virtual user response times and resource utilization information from all Web Servers, Application Servers, Database Servers and Operating Platforms under test, so that precise
 
-->measurements can be gathered during load tests and analysis on these measurements can be performed.

   5. Static analysis
  In this area we have experience in using:

-->FxCop – tool which returns a report regarding the quality of the C code based on the Microsoft standards

-->SSW SQL Auditor - allows developers to generate reports on design issues and areas where SQL performance could be improved.
 
 The testing processes are realized and tracked on the basis of well-documented, detailed test plans, which are estimated to the level of the task.

Bug reporting is realized in bug tracking type systems, which permit tracking, prioritizing and modifying a bug during their whole life cycle. We are using: Jira from Atlassian, Bugzilla installed at the client or on our systems.
 
The effective testing process can be adapted to the life cycles already existing at the client.
